2. I think the new incarnation of the Snuggle Bear is inferior in cuteness to the older one.
3. I enjoy eating cereal but don't like when it shreds the roof of my mouth.
4. Good Reads has thus far been pretty fun. I've already sent out 4 books to folks and I just joined last week! Haven't found any from my wishlist yet, but the books I want are a little eclectic. (Story of my life.)
5. When I was a little girl in Long Beach, there was a restaurant down on PCH named The Fiddler's Three. My family didn't go out to eat very often but sometimes we would get an individual item as take out and build dinner around that. The Fiddler's Three had a particular cheese soup that was a family favourite. The restaurant went under years ago and took its recipe with it. Over the years I've tried to recreate it, tried Googling it (so far I've only found other people's recreations), but never been able to exactly replicate it. It was light orange-ish and we knew there was cheddar in it, and the veggies of any good soup. Flash forward 25 years. There's a little sandwich shop around the corner from work. All they do is sandwiches, soups and beverages. It's a simple, clever operation. Being a soup addict, I'll try any new soup they feature (except anything with seafood) that looks promising. Two weeks ago they had an asiago bisque. ASIAGO BISQUE! It took only about 2 spoonfuls for me to recognize asiago as one of the flavours that was missing from all my attempts to make that Fidler's cheese soup. I'm looking forward to giving the recipe another go.
