Disappointed but relieved He's fine
Instead of being high on the thrill of seeing His Holiness the Dalai Lama this morning I'm feeling a little low and a little concerned. Turned out His Holiness has a sore throat and stayed over another night in Japan. So no teaching or public talk by him today. Other events were held but I was on my way back north to Sand Harbor before 7:30 a.m. I pray that His Holiness is only minorly ill. It's certainly understandable that a man such as He who travels so much, who sees so many people, might fall ill from time to time. I'm glad he was able to get even a minute of much needed rest. Om mani padme hum.

That is indeed disappointing news. I received your card and was all excited for your story of His Holiness' visit. I hope that he has gotten better and hope that you will receive another opportunity to attend one of his talks in the future.
