December NaBloPoMo

NaBloPoMo 2011

This morning, on a whim, I decided to do NaBloPoMo this month. This is my first time participating since NaBloPoMo moved over to Blogher. I'm not strictly a Blogher girl (it's a bit commercial for me) but I thought it'd be fun to challenge myself to write everyday again. There was a time when I had over a year-long writing-every-day streak going. What ever happened to those times? How could I have possibly had that much to say?!

This month's theme is GIFT. I'm a renegade and possibly the only post you'll see that has anything to do with gifts occurred yesterday in And a Very Merry Solstice to You. As with everything, we'll see.

I could use some help coming up with topics to write about all month long. You'lll probably have to hear about my starting Bob Harper's Are You Ready! fitness program, and about my search for meaningful livelihood. I'm undertaking a brief mini-retreat next week in which I'll be totally alone and not leave the house for four days... well, it'll be me and a little dog... so you'll probably hear about that experience quite a bit. I might talk about my other blog, The Buddhist Home, and how I'm trying to figure out what it is I'm trying to accomplish and just how I'll do that. I might talk about the library. I love the library. I'll be getting an LA County library card this week and will collect a number of books to have with me during my retreat. Also, I recently signed up to sponsor a Tibetan Buddhist nun in Dharamsala through the Tibetan Nuns Project and am anxiously awaiting information about her. You can be sure I'll talk about that when I receive the info packet.

What else should I write about? Are there any topics on which you'd like my (uneducated) opinion? Don't forget you can always ask questions on my Formspring page.
