I’d like very much to go to the market to buy all manner of food that is not good for me. The desire is very strong. Like ridiculously strong. I’m thwarted on two fronts: 1. I have no money and 2. I’m on a labyrinthian journey, dammit!
I am eating my way through the abundance that is my pantry. There’s lots of tofu and noodles. And lentils. A selection of frozen and fresh vegetables and fruits. A couple eggs. Spices. Tea. I’ll manage. I’m not buying any additional foodstuffs until the weekend of the 17th out of necessity first, and out of curiosity second. Can I do it? Will I crack and go raid my folks’ fridge? How many ways can I prepare seitan? Will I ever get so hungry that I’ll eat the soy succotash that’s in the freezer?
